They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that. ~Gardner Dickinson

Right this moment, Jay and I are relaxing on the couch watching  the U.S. Open on the television. Jay went in to work early this morning so that he could come home early and watch Tiger Woods do what he does best. Tiger is playing very well today. This year's course is in San Francisco. He just took the lead. We'll see if he can keep his lead.

So, while we sit in this "golf-environment" in my family room, I figured it was a good time to post my hubby's latest golf game...which happened to be his first time out on the course this whole year.

The Place: Alpine Country Club
When: a couple weeks ago
With who: Grandma Darleen, Jay's dad, Jay, Mike, and Shaun

Jay was so excited to get out there that morning that he woke up before the sun was up... even before his alarm went off and couldn't fall back to sleep. He was too excited and couldn't settle back into sleep.  He couldn't wait to get out there and start swinging his golf club!

Grandpa Fox was a member of the Alpine County Club in Highland. When he passed, Grandma Darleen kept the membership...even though she doesn't play. She just loves to take her kids and grandkids there!

So, here's a few pics from the game a couple weeks ago. They played a beautiful early morning 18 holes. They had a blast!

What a gorgeous day in the background!
I don't golf. I have hit a few balls but only move them a few inches! I always get a laugh trying though....
and I always get extremely humbled trying to play!
But, there is something about golf that is clean and classy...and peaceful. I love that Jay and his family members love to golf together! What a fun tradition!
