Falling for Fall !!!!

We took the kids up the mountain this afternoon for an
afternoon of fun....the canyon was so beautiful !!!

We first went to Cascade Springs up the Alpine Loop

My beautiful Jayme!
We LOVED Cascade Springs! It was the neatest place!!!

Cascade Springs is one of our favorite new spots!
Gorgeous up there !!!

My handsome boys !!

We can't wait to get back up there and
explore the other two trails to the waterfalls up higher.

The whole place was amazing. I wish I was able to really
capture the beauty better....it was awesome!!

This one isn't clear because we were driving
so fast and taking pics at the same time.
But, I loved it anyway.

After exploring the water falls, we went to Tibble Fork to
do some fishing. Tibble Fork is such a pretty little spot!
But, actually catching fish there is another story for us :)

Trey is sneaking up on that pelican bird there by the water

Jayme is our fisher-woman!
She loves it!!
And...even though she is pulling a silly
face here...she really doesn't mind
holding the wiggly worms ;)

Trey enjoying fishing! He is our new
fisher-man! He loves to cast out and does
awesome with all there is to fishing ;)

We enjoyed the ride home also. The colors up the
mountain are brilliant!! We are going to try and go
again soon!! We only stayed up the mountain for a few
hours today since I needed to return home in time for
our Relief Society dinner and
General Relief Society broadcast with Kim!

FLU BUG!

It has definately sunk in that summer is really over.
Just as school started back up for the kiddos, the weather
is staring to turn a little chilly, and everyone started to get sick as
Fall time is rolling around.

Our house is a battle zone with the flu attacking at will.

Everyone is dropping like flies ...right ...and ...left!

A couple weeks ago, cute Chey came over to visit us
with the sniffles. As she left, we got a phone call from
Grandma Graf telling us that Chey and Ryan had been
sick with a terrible sickness and
not to get around any of the sickies. Too late! We'd already had
fun visiting with Chey a couple of different times
and the germs were lose in the house....
 searching for another victim!!  :)

Next little Macy started coming down with sore throat
and tummy problems.  A couple days later Jayme was the next victim of the flu and actually ended up with Strep Throat some days later. Two days after Jayme was hit, I fell ill with the flu..
and was down and out!

That same exact day that I was sick, Megan AND Kolby
were hit!!  Within a day or two, Kassidy took a hit!

The very next day, on the day of our fun family party
(the day of Sharla's surprise birthday party),...
Shaun fell victim!!
And little Brooklyn was starting to feel it
coming on her as well!

So far, we are losing the battle !!
The score is  8/12 ...with the flu as the victor!

Watching the one's not attacked yet is a lot like
watching the poor participants of the hunger games :

Trey has his strategies (he just stays outside and plays
all day so that he doesn't have to be inside
breathing all the sick air!).

Jay's strategies are that he thinks he can talk himself
out of getting sick... "mind over matter!"

Hailey.... is actually just waiting to get it!

Kim's strategy is that she is too busy to get it! Either that...or she has been too uber exposed to even get it now!

So there they are...the FOUR lone survivors of the FLU!!!

Everyday ...we are just waiting for the next one to drop!

It will be good when it's all over. But now I'm thinking it's so wierd that we are planning to all go and get the flu shots in the next couple of weeks! :)

Back flips !!

Trey learned how to do backflips this summer
and he is so natural at it doing flips that it makes it
fun to sit and watch him.

He has loved jumping on the trampoline all summer long!!

Jay is so proud of Trey learning the back flip since he
was trying to teach him how to do it last summer.
Jay can do back flips too!
Jayme and I just stick to the front flip and we are totally
ok to not follow Trey's footsteps in learning anymore
flipping than we already know! :)

Trey is super talented with his trampoline tricks
and is happy to show any audience he has!

HAPPY DAY IN...HAPPY VALLEY !! GO COUGARS!!

A few weeks ago we spent such a fun Saturday in Provo
at BYU's second home game!

The pre-game party was so much fun in the tent
just outside the stadium!!

Our car full of BYU fans arrived at noon and hurried
from our parking lot a couple of blocks to the college campus. Upon arriving...Jay, Kolby, and I left Jayme and Trey
in the hands of Jay's brother (Jim with Jim's kids) at
the BYU stadium and we met up with Brian and Sharla
inside the tent for a yummy lunch before the game started!!

These are specialty drinks! Mine is lemonade with
every fruit imaginable!

Jay and Kolbs enjoying the
food, company, and conversation!

Sharla and I with our awesome BYU enthusiasm!!

GOOOOOOO  COUGARS!!!!

Here I am sporting Sharla's cute BYU hat

Brian and Sharla coming back with a drink

Jay excited to point out to me that Cosmo is standing
directly right in front of me!

So I missed getting Cosmo's picture as he was there facing me
but I caught him walking away.

And Cosmo came to the row right behind us

Jayme and Trey sat in that section to the right of
the big screen accross from us.

BYU staff brought our section
cold ice cream during the game!...which was
very refreshing since it was the hottest day we've
had in a very long time! The temp was 91 today.

BYU played against Weber State and we smoked them!
BYU won with the score of 45 to 13!

We were close enough to the field that we could see
the frustration and anger between the players during the game!
There were quite a few times that the players would push and brawl with each other a bit and we thought it might break out

into a fight! Definately exciting!!

After the game, while we were walking out of the stadium,
we walked directly in front of Elder L. Tom Perry who was
smiling and shaking hands with child and a few others.
That was so awesome to see an apostle right in front of us!

Definately a HAPPY day spent at the BYU game
in Utah's HAPPY VALLEY!!
